Move over Dewy skin, ‘Buttery skin’ is the next BIG makeup trend and here's how to achieve the look

The world of beauty and makeup is an extremely fast-paced one. There is always something new to be tried out and experimented with. From using lipstick as concealer to toothbrush as pimple cream, the list is long and never-ending. One of the biggest trends of 2018 though, was the fresh-faced dewy look that almost all celebrities were seen sporting. Think basic foundation and concealer with loads of highlighter that gives the face a glow at just the right spots. Also called the “Instagram glow” look, it was the biggest hit of last year with big shots of the beauty industry like Kylie Jenner and Huda, sporting the look and even putting up tutorials on how to achieve it.
The latest trend on the block that people are obsessed with, is “buttery skin”. Spotted first on makeup artist Isabelle de Vries’s instagram page, this look is exactly what it sounds like. It mimics the appearance that smooth and glowing butter has been slapped on the skin, giving it a honey yellow glow. The look can be achieved with an excellent concealing technique, according to the artist.
It didn’t take long for other make up artists to decode the look and achieve it with simple and easy steps.
