THIS lazy girl's guide to smokey eyes is perfect for those impromptu party plans
The smokey eye is a classic but super difficult to achieve. Follow this basic 3-minute routine to get the perfect glamorous look!
The one make-up trend that never seems to go out of style and looks great with almost every outfit and for every occasion is the classic smokey eyes. It instantly makes eyes look more sultry and senseous and can be paired with both nude lipstick or deeper shades. It is the go-to-solution for make-up and beauty junkies since it is versatile if you want the more toned down version you can opt for a more subtle version, and if you want to glam it up, add glitter, coloured eyeshadow or eyeliner.
Despite being so adaptable, creating the look is not as easy as it seems. It takes a mix of all the right products – blending brushes, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and glitter. This is what makes it scary. But what most people don’t know is that this look can be recreated with just one of these tools. So, for all those lazy days, when you have barely five minutes to do your makeup, this hack is sure to save you!
All you will require, is a basic kajal stick and an eyeshadow brush.
1. Apply the kajal on the upper and lower waterline of your eyelids.
2. Then, using the same stick, draw a thick line across your upper lashes, from one corner of the eye to the other. Don’t extend it to a cateye as that does not serve the purpose and takes up a lot of time. Also, precision is not necessary here so you don’t need to worry about the line being uneven.
3. Use either your finger or the eyeshadow brush to blend the kajal upwards but not all the way to your eyelid.
4. Dab some translucent powder over this to ensure it doesn’t budge.
5. Using either a liquid or gel eyeliner, draw a thin precise line just above your top eyelashes.
6. Top it off with two coats of mascara to make your lashes look full and volumnious.
If you still have time on your hands, use a nude pencil on your brow line to define your brows and highlight the smokey eyes.
And if you are heading out to an impromptu party, follow the same routine but improvise a little by adding some glitter on your eyelids and blend it well with the kajal.
This will give off a sexy yet glamorous look.
Voila! Your smokey eyes are ready and with almost no effort! Now, top it off with some nude lipstick and lipgloss to channel your inner glam goddess.
