While oiling your hair is a must, but there are few mistakes that women make while oiling their hair. And you might be making the same mistakes too. So to become a pro while oiling your hair the next time, here are a few mistakes that you need to avoid right away.
Don't comb immediately after applying oil:

Combing your hair post-oil session can cause hair breakage and loss. Instead, comb your locks, start from the tips and gently make your way to the top. It will help you with knots and the oil would spread to your strands and scalp evenly.
Don't keep the oil overnight:

When it comes to keeping the oil overnight on your scalp, you should avoid doing that. Since that makes the hair more greasy and sticky. And greasy hair collects dirt and mixes with your scalp’s natural oil. Hence, it’s important to keep the oil on for a while but not for too long.
Don't apply too much oil:

Avoiding a considerable amount of oil is understandable, but it makes no sense to apply more. Application of more oil equals to the usage of more shampoo. It can strip hair of its natural, protective oils and moisture. Thereby, drying your hair out and making it look duller than before.
Don't tie your hair:

All of us like to tie our hair up in a bun after applying the oil, but doing so adds pressure and can easily break your strands. Furthermore, it can also cause hair to fall and give rise to split ends.
Don't massage more:

Everyone loves to have a little massage session while applying oil, but doing more of it can break or weaken your strands and ruin its texture in the long run. It could also give rise to more knots.
Don't use another product:

After you are done applying the oil, don't apply any hair products like hair masks, serum or packs to your hair. These products contain some chemicals and could ruin the texture of the hair by making it rough and dry.
