Easy DIY method of getting rid of gel nail polish at home
Gel nail polish is the current cool with more and more young women opting for it
It’s a known fact that everyone enjoys grooming and self pampering. When you feel good and happy from the inside it automatically starts reflecting on your face. With the World speeding at a blistering pace, we often look for shortcuts, but then again, all of them too come with their own baggage of pros and cons. The same is with the much in vogue, gelled nail paints. Well, the gel polish has quickly been climbing up the ladder and has become a major favourite amongst women. The new-age gel manicure looks super sleek and chic and stays on for a good two weeks.
Like it is often said about a lot of things, enjoy the high while it lasts, the same goes for these LED-cured lacquer. While they impress everyone with their super shine, getting them off is a huge task altogether. Let’s all be honest and accept that they can get a little heavy on the pocket and getting it removed can also get chaotic. However, more than chaos it is about the extra visit to the salon that causes all the trouble. But, like always, we’ve got your back and have listed down an easy way in which you can get rid of your gel nail paint.
Buff your nails using a nail filer
With the gel nail paint, one tends to have at least 3-4 coats. Grab a nail filer and buff down the top coat as then it’ll help in removing the nail paint more easily.

Soak your nails
After buffing the top coat, take cotton balls and soak them in a nail polish remover of your choice. Place them on the nail and wrap them around with foil paper. A pro tip for you guys is to use a hot towel and wrap your fingers with it for better results.
Leave it on for 15 minutes
Leave the foil paper on for fifteen minutes so that the gel starts coming off on its own. Use a swipe of acetone to get rid of the leftover nail-paint. Dip your nails in coconut oil for five minutes and then apply cuticle oil or moisturiser on it.

These are easy steps which will help you in getting rid of your nail-paint without many visits to the nail salon. However, I wouldn’t recommend you’ll to try these gel paints often as they do tend to make your nails brittle. Once you’re through with your experience of trying the LED lacquer, cut your nails short and let them breathe and grow stronger and healthier.
