We are in the last quarter of the year and that means it is time for the chilly weather. Yes, as per predictions this year Winters are going to be pretty solid. This means that we’ll have to pull our socks and be all set and ready with our winter care kit. The chilly season also brings in a lot of dryness and god forbid if you have dry skin then it can be a living hell for you. We understand that treating dry skin in a dry weather can be quite a task, but as always, we’ve got your covered. Listed below are easy DIY homemade moisturisers which will be super fruitful this season.
Argan oil moisturiser
Argan oil is great for dry skin. It has a healing element and also locks in moisture in the skin. Take one glass bottle and pour ½ cup argan oil in it. To this add 1/4th teaspoon of emu oil and add about 4-6 drops of essential oil - it could be rose, lemongrass, chamomile, rosemary, etc. Add everything and shake well. Now take some drops on your fingertips and massage your dry skin.

Beeswax moisturiser
Definitely one moisturiser which can do wonders to your skin. Take a double boiler to melt about 1/4th beeswax pellets. Once it melts add about ½ cup of coconut oil, ½ cup of olive oil 10 drops of any essential oil. Keep whipping the mixture while you are pouring the elements. Mix it until it gets a creamy texture. Transfer the mixture in glass jar and let it cool down. Make sure you do not refrigerate it as it will naturally cool down.
Aloe vera moisturiser
Aloe vera is the greatest gift of nature to mankind. We all know how aloe soothes the skin and reduces itchiness and dry patches. Firstly, melt 12 tablespoon of beeswax in a double boiler and add ½ cup of coconut and ¼ cup of almond oil to it while you’re melting it. Pour the mixture in a blender and let it all cool down. Once it has cooled down add 1 cup of aloe vera gel and the essential oils, blend it till you get a creamy texture. Store the mixture in a glass jar and use it.

Honey and Glycerin moisturiser
Take about 1 teaspoon of honey, 2 teaspoons of glycerin, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 2 teaspoon of green tea. Mix all the ingredients together and apply it on your face and body. Leave it on overnight and then wash it off the next day. The reason this moisturiser works is because honey and glycerin are great in keeping the skin hydrated and moisturised. Lemon on the other hand helps in brightening your skin.
Nourishing day cream for dry skin
For this nourishing cream, you need 3 tablespoons of sweet almond oil, 1 tablespoon of avocado oil, 3 teaspoon of beeswax, 2 drops of lavender essential oil, 2 tablespoons of mineral water and 1 drop of peppermint essential oil. Melt the beeswax in a double boiler. Take some warm water and slowly add it to the melted beeswax and oil mix. Keep whisking it as you pour the water. Once it melts, take it off the heat and let it cool down. Add essential oils to the mixture and keep whisking the solution. Scoop out the cream from the boiler and store it in a jar. Let it cool down and use it as a day cream as and when you like.
