In his early days he fell prey to a rumour “TV tower pe program bante hain” and went to a fort with his cousin which had a tower with an expectation to see a television program being shot.
Irrfan said, “When I realised that I wanted to act and began to research about how to achieve it, I thought it would television roles. Someone had told me that the TV tower on top of the hill is where programming is done and production, so I foolishly went on the hill with my cousin. When we reached, there was nothing near the tower and I remember how we talked about working for TV and all the excitement around it”
