5 Home remedies for dry skin this winter

Winter is here and it’s the happy festive time which involves a lot of family time, partying and eating good food. Apart from all these perks winter also brings along extreme laziness and yes, dry skin. Applying the moisturiser leaves the skin look oily and sticky.

Olive or Coconut Oil

Oils give out the best result and are also very easy and handy. Apply olive or coconut oil on your face and all over the body and massage it softly. You could either leave it overnight and take a warm shower the next day or keep it on for 30 minutes and then wash it away. Keep repeating this process throughout winter and your skin will remain both soft and extremely moisturised.

Honey

As honey is a natural humectant it helps in retaining moisture in your skin. Mix honey and some milk together. Apply the mixture on your skin and leave it on for about 15 minutes and then take a shower. Keep repeating this twice or thrice a week for best results.

Glycerin

Like honey, glycerin also is a natural humectant and it helps in keeping the skin moisturised. Mix equal amount of rosewater and glycerin together and apply it on your skin and leave it overnight. Take a bath with lukewarm water and get radiating, nourished and moisturised skin.

Aloe Vera

Another easy remedy for instant soft moisturised skin. Apply the aloe vera gel on your skin, leave it on for 15-20 mins, letting it soak in and wash it away with lukewarm water. Aloe vera gel is a super quick remedy and irrespective of the season if you keep on doing it all throughout the year, it’ll only help in keeping your skin soft and glowy.

Milk

Milk helps great in hydrating the skin, making it soft and also helps in keeping away wrinkles. Apply milk on your skin and keep it on till it nicely absorbs in your pores, leave it on for 15 mins and wash it off with lukewarm water. Do this twice or thrice a week to get the best results.
