New Zealand and Sri Lanka are set to begin their ICC World Cup campaign on Saturday at Bristol. It will be a clash bewteen a team that is in disarray after a disastrous ODI run of late, while New Zealand will be high on confidence after a relatively better ODI form.

One of the battles to watch out for will be against Martin Guptill and Suranga Lakmal. He has scored the most number of runs against the Lankans since the last World Cup - 484 - and given the team's downward spiral in the recent past and with a bowling attack that hardly inspires confidence, Guptill could well fancy his chances.

However, he might find it tough against Lakma, who has been the only positive from Sri Lanka with the ball. He has picked up frequent wickets and when he is in full rhythm, he can be difficult to navigate. Hence, if Lakmal can bowl stump to stump, he could be a tricky proposition and Guptill would do well to be on his toes against him, at least initially.
