South Africa vs Bangladesh, World Cup 2019: Tamim Iqbal's battle with Rabada will be one to watch out for
Iqbal's mini-battle with Rabada could be one to watch out for.
South Africa will play the second match of the ICC Cricket World Cup when they take the field against Bangladesh at The Oval - the same venue where they suffered a mammoth defeat against England in the World Cup opener.
Skittled out for only 207 runs, the tournament began on a disappointing note for the Proteas, but they will have a chance at redemption when they take on Bangladesh, who will open their campaign on Sunday.
Tamim Iqbal's battle with Kagiso Rabada will be of immense importance. The batter has been struggling to find form of late, and thus, his encounter with the pacer could be crucial in the context of the game. Rabada is sure to come all guns blazing with the new ball, and will want to send back Iqbal early.
If Iqbal fails, South Africa will have an early breakthrough, and will also provide Rabada with the much needed momentum, fromwhereon he can go on to pick a few more.
The Bangladeshi has struggled against pacey, inswinging deliveries in the past and is often guilty of leaving a huge gap between the pad and bat. He has been dismissed by Rabada twice already in four innings, and with the way Iqbal has been abtting of late, Rabada will fancy his chances.
