South Africa plays Bangladesh at Oval today as 2019 World Cup enters day four. The tournament has been incurious thus far as all the matches ended in a one-sided affair. So, the cricket fans are desperately waiting for some cracking action, which surely will be on display as the tournament goes on. Although Bangladesh is ranked quite below in the ODI rankings than South Africa, they can give Proteas a tough day on the field. There would be several players in the spotlight for this match, in this piece, we look at three of them:

Imran Tahir

Wherever Imran Tahir plays, he doesn’t miss out on entertaining the fans. Be it with his awe-aspiring bowling or the sensational celebration, Tahir always remains active on the field. The leg-spinner provided South Africa a dream start in the first match against England by removing in-form Jonny Bairstow in the very first over. He can surely again be that X-factor for du Plessis and Co against Bangladesh today.

Shakib Al Hasan

One can’t sideline Shakib Al Hasan when it comes to Bangladesh cricket. The all-rounder has been a strong part of this team for a long, long time now. He not only can bat in the middle and lower-order but is as handy with his left-arm spin. Having recently returned to the number one spot in the ICC ODI all-rounders ranking, Shakib will be eager to perform in the World Cup for Bangladesh.

Quinton de Kock

Amid South Africa’s collapse in the last match, de Kock continued his good touch with the bat The southpaw scored a gutsy fifty before getting out to a loose delivery. He surely would be in awe of scoring big in this match to gain the momentum. Bangladesh hasn’t the best of the bowling line-ups in the world, so, de Kock could make most of this opportunity once Proteas take the field today.
