Pakistan vs West Indies, World Cup 2019: Shoaib Akhtar lashes out at unfit Sarfaraz
Pakistan lost their opener after they scored only 105 runs, which was chased down by West Indies in only 13.4 overs.
Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar lashed out at Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed after their humiliating loss against West Indies in the World Cup opener against West Indies.
Pakistan were bowled out for only 105, after West Indies opted to bat first. 105 is the second lowest total that they have made in the World Cup, with the 74 that they managed against Australia in 1992 being their lowest.
According to senior journalist from Pakistan, Saj Sadiq, Akhtar singled out Ahmed for criticism and attacked his fitness levels.
“When Sarfaraz Ahmed came for the toss, his stomach was sticking out and his face was so fat. He’s the first captain I’ve seen who is so unfit. He’s not able to move across and he’s struggling with wicket-keeping,” tweeted Sadiq.
