ICC World Cup 2019: Yuzvedra Chahal is more experienced than I am, says Kuldeep Yadav
With Yuzvendra Chahal’s exceptional bowling figures, Indian team registered a win in their first match of the tournament against the Proteas by 6 wickets.
Yuzvendra Chahal had a spectacular start to his World Cup journey as he picked up 4 wickets in the middle for the Men in Blue against the Proteas. With an economy of 5.10, this Indian leg-spinner gave just 51 runs in his 10 overs spell.
Kuldeep Yadav, praised Chahal in an interview and said that there’s still much to learn from his fellow team-mate, Yuzvendra Chahal. He said that Chahal is far more experienced than him and that he needs to learn how to bowl to a certain batsman from him.
After a not so good IPL season, this Indian bowler was seen back in action at India’s first game in the tournament against the Proteas. Kuldeep managed to pick up one crucial wicket for the team of JP Duminy with an exceptional economy of 4.60 in his 10 overs spell.
He said that T2O is entirely different from ODI and once IPL got over he went to his coach where he practiced for 10 days and fixed all the problems.
He mentioned that as he needs to give his best in a tournament as big as World Cup, he started to mix his variations.
With bounce being his primary weapon, the Chinaman revealed that he has always had good performances abroad as he relies on bounce off the pitch. In such a situation, batsman seldom goes on a back foot and you’re always in with a chance if they’re coming forward.
India will play its second match in the tournament against Australia, tomorrow i.e. 9th June at The Oval, London.
