In what would be a contest between number one and number 10 ranked ODI teams, England locks horns with Afghanistan today in London. Both these teams will be playing their second and final warm-up game before the start of World Cup. The hosts have been unstoppable especially at home during last twelve months. They triumphed almost every series before this event and are considered as top favourites to lift the mega trophy. On the other hand, Afghanistan has also arrived in England with the hope of producing some upsets. They already announced themselves by defeating Pakistan in the first warm-up match. Meanwhile, let's look at one key batsman for each side in this match.

Jonny Bairstow

After finishing as third highest run-getter in ODIs during 2018, Jonny Bairstow has shown equally good touch in 2019 as well. The wicket-keeper batsman recently had an unforgettable Indian Premier League while played a few top knocks in the ODI series against Pakistan as well. He, however, got out a bit early in the first warm-up match against Australia. Now to get going ahead of World Cup, the opener will be hungry to score some runs in this match against Afghanistan.

Mohammad Shahzad

Mohammad Shahzad is one of the most exciting cricketers from Afghanistan as people call him the 'MS Dhoni of Afghanistan'. The experienced campaigner never leaves an opportunity to entertain fans with his swashbuckling batting and distinctive glove-work behind the stumps. He even goes on trying former Indian skipper's trademark 'helicopter shot'. The 31-year-old played few fiery strokes against Pakistan in the first practice game, helping Afghanistan get off to a good start. He will be aiming to repeat same today against strong England side.
