New Zealand will take on the two time World Cup Champions West Indies in their final warm up game before the commencement of the big tournament. The Kiwis won their last warm up against the Men in Blue and will thrive to begin the official tournament with a positive note. Here’s the list of the top 2 batsmen from the New Zealand side that will provide a tough competition to the Windies power hitters.

1.      Kane Williamson- The New Zealand skipper who has an average of over 45.90 in ODIs will play an instrumental role in New Zealand’s batting line up. Despite a low scoring game against the tournament’s joint favourite India, Williamson’s 67 off 87 balls helped the team finish of the match in just 37.1 overs.

2.      Ross Taylor- With his tremendous batting in the first warm up game, Taylor emerged out to be the highest run scorer of the match with 71 runs in just 75 deliveries. His innings included 8 fours with a strike rate of 94.66. It will be interesting to this New Zealand Stalwart to carry on the same form as the warm up games in the main tournament. His ODI records are as stellar as his batting performances and he holds an average of 48.34.

The Black Caps will play their first official World Cup 2019 match against Sri Lanka on June 1 at Cardiff.
