ICC World Cup 2019: MS Dhoni sets field while batting & embarrasses Bangladesh's bowler Sabbir Rahman
India took on Bangladesh in the second warm-up game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff yesterday
It was a crucial game for the Indian side as it offered a chance for Virat Kohli and his men to get acclimatized to the British weather and conditions just before the start of world's biggest cricket extravaganza. This game also helped India to sort out the conundrum for the number four position as KL Rahul made 108 off 99 balls. After losing the first warm-up game against New Zealand, the Indians were determined to put up a good show against the Bangla tigers. The chief contributors were KL Rahul and Mahendra Singh Dhoni- who bludgeoned the helpless Bangladesh bowling attack to all corners of the ground. Dhoni who is always known for his big hitting abilities smashed 7 mighty sixes en route to his 113 which came off just 78 balls.
It was during the 40th over of the Indian innings when an unusual incident took place. MSD, who was on strike to face part-time bowler Sabbir Rahman, stopped the bowler midway through his action and corrected the fielding position of short square leg fielder. This left the bowler embarrassed and he was left with no other option but to move the fielder to the actual position as suggested by MSD. These incidents make us question the fact that, is there anything that MSD can't do on a cricket field!
