ICC World Cup 2019: Kagiso Rabada calls Indian Skipper Virat Kohli immature, says he cannot take abuse
Indian cricket team is all set to play its first World Cup match in the tournament on June 5 against the Proteas.
India however has a great momentum in its batting line-up with its in-form middle order batsmen and the opening duo. Skipper, Virat Kohli will be the x-factor for the team and his explosive batting can be a threat to any major team in the tournament. Virat is known to be overly expressive on the field and it will be an eye-catching encounter between the Indian skipper and Proteas’ Kagiso Rabada who is also known for his expressiveness on the field.
This 24-year-old South African bowler is a chatter box when it comes to on-field banter. The duo was recently caught up in a heated argument during IPL 2019 in a match of Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli hit Rabada for a four and the splatter of words began at the end of the over. Rabada recalled this incident and the on field banter with the Indian captain.
“I was just thinking about the game plan, really, but Virat, he hit me for a boundary and then he had a word. And then when you give it back to him, he gets angry. I don’t get the guy. Maybe he does it because it gets him going, but that comes across as very immature for me. He is a phenomenal player but he can’t take the abuse. But those things can’t distract you,” Rabada told ESPNCricinfo.
The fans however, will wait for the duo to face each other on the field again. This interesting face-off amongst the two will bring in a lot of excitement in the current World Cup tournament.
