Rohit Sharma also congratulated Ravindra Jadeja on his splendid innings in the warm up match against New Zealand where he scored a smashing 54 runs in just 50 balls. India lost to New Zealand and managed to put on just 179 runs on board in the first innings. New Zealand chased down the total in just 37.1 overs and won the match by 6 wickets and 77 balls remaining.
The trio will play a crucial role in India’s upcoming matches and India will play its first official World Cup match against South Africa on 05 June at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground.
