ICC World Cup 2019: Indian skipper, Virat Kohli believes in his bowling; His teammates DO NOT
Ahead of India’s first World Cup 2019 match against the Proteas, the Indian skipper was seen bowling in nets in a practice session.
Virat Kohli is known for his phenomenal batting and has an average of 59.57. This Indian batsman holds several records in international cricket. Every cricketer in the world would believe in his great abilities and records when it comes to his exceptional batting. On the contrary, his teammates have a different opinion when it comes to his bowling. The Indian skipper however has taken 4 wickets in his 227 ODI matches.
“It was during the ODI series in Sri Lanka, we had almost won everything, I asked MS Dhoni if I could bowl. Just when I was getting ready to roll my arm over, Bumrah shouted from the boundary and said ‘no joking around, it is an international game.’
Virat later said in an interview to the host broadcaster of the World Cup, “No one in the team believes in my bowling but I do. After that, I had back issues and then never bowled (in the middle).”
Recently, the Indian captain was seen bowling in nets ahead of India’s first game in a practice session. Along with his exceptional batting and fielding abilities in the game, Virat was seen practicing hard in the bowling department. The star batsman is often seen making fun of his own bowling, but it wouldn’t be a surprise for the Indian cricket team fans to see the skipper bowl an over or two in the World Cup matches.
