Virat Kohli-led Indian Cricket Team also known as the men in blue will undergo a slight change regarding their jersey in the ICC World Cup 2019. With the constant hype along with the fan’s expectations, the Indian team will be all set to take on South Africa in their first official World Cup match on June 5.

However, the conundrum regarding the team’s jersey colours is the fact that majority of these countries (England, India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan) has blue as their preferred jersey colour. For this, each team will have to keep a separate coloured jersey kit for their home and away matches. The Indian cricket team will play the away matches in a completely different coloured jersey, preferably orange.

England, being the tournament hosts will not have to face any of the above mentioned problems. The teams playing against the host country will have to change their kit. Similar situation arose for teams like Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa due their common green colour jerseys. These countries will have to keep a separate kit as well when they bid against each other. However, things are sorted for countries like New Zealand and West Indies as their jersey colours doesn’t clash with any other team in the World Cup.

The first World Cup official match starts from May 30 with England and South Africa playing the first match of the tournament at The Oval.
