England vs Pakistan, World Cup 2019: Match Prediction in favour of hosts
Pakistan will be the under dogs for this clash.
England stamped their mark in the World Cup 2019 when they defeated South Africa by 104 runs against South Africa. On the other hand, Pakistan were all out for 105 against the West Indies - the lowest total of the World Cup thus far. It made for dismal viewing as their losing streak extended to 12 games.
They lost the recent series to England last month as well 0-4, and will be low on confidence heading into this game. Hence, on current form, and the way the series in May went, England are the clear favourites for this clash. They have at their disposal one of the most balanced teams - with batters who can consistently hit any bowling attack out of the park. Pakistan, on the other hand, have failed to get their T20I form into the ODIs, and the result is that they have been languishing.
However, they did show some fight when they took the ball against Windies, dismissing 3 batters. Their pace bowlers bowled wicket-to-wicket and they will look to replicate just that on Monday as well.
The margin for error will be extremely low against England though, as their rivals will latch on to the bad balls and send them sailing over the ropes in one of the highest scoring venues in this edition.
Given all the equations, it will be England who have an upper hand against Pakistan. Their batting outshines, and their bowling is more consistent, and they can possibly be the winners.
