England vs Pakistan, ICC World Cup 2019: Key players to watch out for
As the hosts take on the Men in Green today at Trent Bridge stadium, England will definitely emerge as favourites.
England had a terrific start to the World Cup tournament and has won the previous match against the Proteas as well as one of the two warm-up matches played before the tournament. Pakistan will however look forward to register their first win in the tournament. Let’s have a look at these key players who will play a crucial role in the match.
1. Jofra Archer- Despite being just 4-ODI-old, this English bowler has made quite an impact in International cricket. His last minute inclusion in the England squad was a huge decision by the selectors and the expectation that lies with this bowler in this tournament is huge. In the first World Cup match against the Proteas, Jofra managed to pick up 3 wickets with an economy of just 3.86. In his 7 overs, he gave away only 27 runs making him the most economical bowler for the team.

2. Ben Stokes- When we think of England’s batting line-up, there are quite a few names that emerge in this balanced squad. However, it was Ben Stokes' mind-blowing inning that stole the limelight. He scored 89 runs and a massive strike rate of 112.66 that led the team to victory. However, with the likes of Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan and Joe Root in the team, it will be a tough competition for the England batsmen among themselves for the highest run-scorer spot.

3. Mohammad Amir- It will be Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir that will help the team to restrict the English batsmen to a defendable total. Pakistan, though lost to the Windies by a huge margin, it was Amir who made an impact on their bowling. In his 6 overs, this Pakistani bowler managed to restrict the power-hitters of the West Indian cricket team to just 26 runs and took 3 wickets with an economy of 4.33.
