Whilst the England side will enter their second match in the tournament with a lot of positivity, it will be complete opposite for the Men in Green. A heavy loss against Windies will surely affect the side in the tournament. Pakistan was defeated by the Windies in their first match where their batting lineup couldn't get past 105 runs in the first innings. Having lost both their warm up matches and the first match in the tournament, Pakistan will either look forward to bounce back stronger or the hosts will take the advantage of their poor form. Nonetheless, it will be an interesting encounter to watch out for.

Head to head- In their last 5 matches, England has defeated the Pakistan cricket team four times. However, one match was called off without any results due to rain.

Prediction- Looking at the current form of the English players, it will be a huge upset for the team if they get defeated by the Pakistan cricket team. Their current in-form batters including the likes of Eoin Morgan, Ben stokes and Jonny Bairstow will be all set to give a strong competition to the Pakistani bowlers. When we look at the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Pakistan cricket team, their previous encounter at this venue, the team landed itself into a predicament when they were restricted to a mere 105 runs by the Windies. It can be a one-sided match between the hosts and the Pakistani players, but then as we say, it’s a tournament full of suprises and exciting encounters.

Probable playing 11

England will probably enter the match with the same squad. The current England cricket team looks in a great form after defeating the Proteas by 104 runs in their first match.

England- Eoin Morgan (c), Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Jos Buttler (wk), Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer, Joe Root
