England vs Bangladesh, ICC World Cup 2019: Twitter erupts as Jason Roy gets 100
Roy got to his ninth hundred in only 92 balls, thus becoming the third English player to get to triple digits this World Cup
English opener Jason Roy held his nerves to get to his ninth ODI hundred against Bangladesh on Saturday. After being sent in to bat first, the duo of Roy and Jonny Bairstow started off sedately, adding 128 for the first wicket. Roy was the more aggressive partner among them, and carried on even after the latter was dismissed.
He got to his hundred in 92 balls. It was the third hundred in a World Cup edition for England - the highest ever. Also, Roy took 77 innings to get to his ninth hundred, which is the fifth fastest.
