The Pinkvilla Fashion Review: Rock On 2
So when I went in to watch the movie, I was all pumped up and excited, hoping I would get to see some really cool styles and rockstar-chic looks of the actors and pop-star styles, since the movie is about the art of music, bands, pop culture and performing. However, I was rather disappointed!
Shraddha Kapoor is seen wearing ripped jeans with oversize tops, cargo pants with crop tops or t-shirts and shift dresses. She accessorizes her look with long pendant necklaces. Her entire look is rather shabby!
Farhan Akhtar is seen sporting a grunge beard and a man bun which is cool and he can really pull it off. His clothes, however, are really not cutting it, fuzzy Aztec print sweaters or basic tees are the major part of his wardrobe.
Again in the final performance, he was seen wearing a pair of ill-fitted black pants with a thick old, black (uncle) sweater and a scarf on the inside along with a fedora! He looks like one of those old uncles who is going to take a walk in the cold winters; the only thing missing was his walking stick! We wish he was dressed a bit young.
Speaking of dressing age appropriately, Purab is really not dressed his age. They show the characters have grown up, but Purab's character KD still wearing t-shirts and hoodies and teenage style varsity and bomber jackets, over old t-shirts and ripped jeans.
He the like sunshine on screen! The only person dressed well in the movie. Men, if you are looking to pick up a style tip or two from the movie, blindly follow Arjun Rampal - He looks great!
Finally, on to Prachi Desai, she has a very limited role in the movie but her clothes are great! Again, what ruins it is the mushroom cut, kind of hair cut, that was given to her. It was the hairdo (ugh!) that was ruining the entire look! Why would you do this to a pretty girl like her?
