Anurag Kashyap explains why he hated Karan Johar

When Anurag was in conversation with KJo, he was asked by the latter why he hated him so much earlier. To this Anurag’s reply was, “I think I hated you because you took all our awards from Satya, to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I think at that time I had this big resentment towards everything that was mainstream and I was also more idealistic, so it was generally like that. I think I saw one episode where I felt how all friends are sitting there together and just praising each other.”
Anurag went on to reveal that he even blogged about his resentment the day he came across internet, thinking that no one would even come across his opinionated write-ups.
“At that time I was blogging, I really had No idea what the internet is. So I started blogging the day I discovered internet. I thought it’s like a diary, nobody will read it. And also at that time, I was very opinionated; I was extremely judgmental of people. And I resented anyone who had anything that I felt I didn’t have,” confessed Anurag.
Taking about Karan in particular, Anurag said that he thought of him in a different way. “You to me were… Oh these are these rich kids who have struggled in Malabar Hills,” said he as a matter-of-fact.
