Jodha-Akbar: Will Ruqaiya Begum be able spoil the fun between Jalal-Jodha?
Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar’s topmost Begum, Ruqaiya, who can let go off anything in the world except her status as the chief wife of the Emperor, is now on lookout for Jalal and Jodha. The Begum has set out to join Akbar, who she fears losing to Jodha, on his way to the pilgrimage.
Back in jail, where Jodha-Akbar and their staff has been held hostage, are subject to cruelties by the Mughal guards. When they serve stale food to the prisoners, Akbar blatantly refuses to eat the food. The guards are miffed at Akbar’s objection (who is a simpleton in disguise), and take lash out whips on his body as a punishment for his behavior. Jodha is stopped by Akbar for revealing the truth about their identity because he intends to bear the pain that his subjects are subject to.
But, Jodha is unable to look at Akbar’s plight, and thus, gives her jewelry to the guards as pilgrimage tax. The pair leaves the place for a small village nearby where they eat ad relax for some time.
Jodha cooks rotis for Akbar’s meal while the latter stares her lovingly. When she brings the food to him, he notices her burnt fingers. Jodha tells Jalal that her injury might be small but it is a big thing for her that Jalal cared for her this way.
All is well until now but we wonder what will happen when Begum Ruqaia will be able to track down the Jalal-Jodha.
Well, let is wait and see.
