Diya aur Baati Hum: Sooraj says no to sweets for Sandhya’s sake

The atmosphere is very worked up at the IPS training camp as the cadets are gearing up for the cycle race. As she goes on to take her position before the race, to her utter dismay, Sandhya finds her position shifted from 28 to 18. A range of emotions like – worry, confusion, and shock – glaze her visage. She shares this news with her friends who pin the blame on Zakir for the dirty game.
The trios reach out to Officer Roy for some help but in vain. Sandhya is left with no other choice but to run the race with position 18. She takes up the challenge with grit and determination and readies herself for the challenge.
Back in Pushkar, Sooraj refuses to taste the sweetmeat (ladoo) prepared by his workman in the shop. He smells the sweet and gives his go ahead for their sale. Sooraj’s father, Bhabhasa, notices this in astonishment. He goes on to ask Sooraj about his behavior of avoiding sweets. Sooraj is reluctant to tell him the truth. Bhabhasa refuses to leave without a solid reply and presses on Sooraj to speak up the fact. Sooraj tells Bhabhasa that he has vowed to avoid sweets till Sandhya becomes IPS Officer.
Touched by his vow, Bhabhasa praises his love and days that thi is for the first time he is seeing a man behind a woman’s success.
Precap: Sandhya is competing on the racing track when suddenly she sees a child running towards a moving truck.
