“If you pray in Varanasi, your prayers get answered” – Vindhya Tiwary
Banaras, Varanasi or Kashi is hallowed as a sacred city since the Vedic age. A trip to this land of Gods is what every pious soul desires. And the ones, who are born here, revere the place highly. Ask actress Vindhya Tiwary about her love for Banaras and she will have only nice things say from the core of her heart.
“Every year I prefer to go home for Holi. Whether I am working or not I always make it a point to visit there. Just couple of weeks back, I again went to Benaras for a family wedding and had a great time. Initially, when everybody in my family was not so happy about my move to get into the world of glamour, they criticised me. However, later on when I became successful, they all started loving me! They all were taking autographs and clicking pictures,” says the actress who lately visited the city for a family wedding.
Vindhya always makes it a point to visit three places in Vanarasi - theSankatmochan Mandir, Viswanath temple and the Kaal Bhairav temple.
Throwing light on some amazing aspects of the ancient Holy city, the 25-year-old actress says, “I always visit the three places. Varanasi is a city which has a lot of purity and if you pray, your prayers get answered. The way I have struggled in my career, I needed a lot of patience for that. I have got whatever I wanted in my life."
Vindhya also wants to give back something nice and worthy to her hometown in future. She says, "In the acting business, there are lot of people who can misguide you and can give you wrong information. I want to come up with an institute where any aspirant can come and learn something and also can be guided correctly. The institute will take care of the funding bit.”
