Ali Merchant returns to TV in an impressive role!
Ali Merchant is one of those television actors who never get erased from the public memory so easily. He won hearts by playing a promising and winsome suitor to the protagonist Akshara (Hina Khan) in Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai about 7 years ago. Besides, his historic small-screen wedding with Sara Khan in Bigg Boss 4 will be remembered for years to come.
And now, Ali is raring for making waves on TV with his new comeback vehicle, Channel V’s youth-centric show Sadda Haq Season 2. Sources close to the actor say that he shall be seen playing Nirmaan who is a passionate scientist.
Ali commented on his role, saying, “Yes I am returning to television after quite a long time. I wasn’t too excited about the kind of projects and scripts I was hearing in the last couple of years and plus my love for music was keeping me busy as I have been Dj-ing. I have always played a lover boy on television and this character in Sadda Haq is a multi-layered intelligent guy who is completely styled according to international standards. Unlike most saas-bahu sagas the character, look as well as the entire feeling of the show is like any of international series.”
Watch-out for Ali make an entry on January 26 in the series.
