What decides that cricket is unisex or meant to be pursued by a specific gender only? While, many girls grow up harbouring a desire to wield the bat and ball on the field, there are only a few who are able to break all odds to turn their dream into reality.
Based on this concept, Star Plus is coming up with a new show called Tamanna, which tells the story of a girl who has the fire in her belly to become a cricketer. It also aims to rubbish the notion that a woman’s dreams tend to expire soon.
A launch event was hosted in Mumbai recently which was graced by the star cast of the series. Marathi actress Anuja Sathe, who shall be playing the part of protagonist Dharaa Solanki, introduced her character to the press.
Tamanna boasts of veteran like Ketki Dave, Kiran Karmarkar, Harsh Chhaya and young actor Vishal Gandhi. It goes on air February 1, 2016 onwards.
