Siya Ke Ram: Ram reaches Mithila for Sita’s Swayamvar!
In the recent episode, we saw Ram, Lakshma and Guru Vishwamitra making way for Mithila to pay obeisance to Shiva’s bow at Sita’s Swayamvar.
The trios decide to rest for a while on the banks of Ganga. Ram and Lakshman request Vishwamitra to narrate the story of Ganga’s origin. The holy preceptor tells them how Ganga fulfilled the purpose of her life by surrendering herself to the purpose of everyone’s welfare first by cleansing a demon of his sins so that he relinquishes the desire for heaven and then by coming down on earth to serve the purpose of King Bhagirath. Later, Vishwamitra tells them the story of King Janak’s ancestors and origin.
As soon as the three step into Mithila, they attract attention from the natives. Sita and Ram pass each other by fail to have an eye contact. However, they sense each other’s presence and turn around to have a look. Vishwamitra and the two handsome Princes reach Maharishi Yagyavalkya’s ashram and receive a warm welcome from him.
On the other hand, in Janak’s place, his queen Sunayna is seen worried about the possibility of Sita’s marriage with the arrogant Ravan in case he succeeds in lifting the mighty bow of Shiva. Janak consoles her saying Sita knows how to judge people on the basis of their qualities and assures her that she shall marry the right man.
Soon after, the news of Ram’s arrival in Mithila spreads around like wild fire and reaches Janak’s ears.
