TV actress Simple Kaul aka Iravati of Yam Hai Hum Kutumb, Khichdi, Shararat, Raat Hone Ko Hai, Ye Meri Life Hai, Aisa Des Hai Mera and Baa Bahoo Aur Baby fame celebrated her birthday recently in Mumbai.

Simple shares, "I went out with my father for dinner and also to spend some time with him. I took him to an Indian restaurant. My friends joined us and surprised me. One of my friends, Khushboo Garewal, who is a singer and actress is very close to me. She got a cake for me which had my photograph and some beautiful things written on it. Khushboo gave me an apron for my cafe too. I was really touched and all my friends came with a cake and bouquets. It was a most amazing time I had with my father and friends."

Seeking divine blessings also made it to Simple’s birthday to-do list. "I don't make any birthday plans. But I shall be visiting the ISKCON temple to pray. I find lot of peace in ISKCON temple and after that I shall be visiting to my cafe."

Talking about the gift she wants to gift herself and the gift she is expecting from her loved ones, the actress says, "I want to give myself some 'me time' which I am not getting at all and I want to go to a  spa. I don't expect anything materialistic from friends and family. I just expect their love and attention which my family and friends give me a lot especially on my birthday."

On being asked about her best birthday gift ever received the actress says, "I love lamps because lit up your place and lit up your mood. A friend of mine knew that I love lamps and so my friend gifted them to me.”

Simple, who is married to Delhi-based Rahul Loomba after a long courtship, missed having her significant other on her birthday. “My husband spends the whole day with me on my birthday. He gives me full attention, care and love. It is the most beautiful feeling to spend quality time with your husband and family. But this year I am missing my husband because he is out of country for work,” concludes Simple.
