Confirmed! Gautam Rode to play the handsome warrior Karna in 'Suryaputra Karn'! (PICS)
Actor Gautam Rode, who has been doing shows back to back on television, is once again set to don a new hat! He will be playing the grown-up Karna in Siddharth Kumar Tewary and Rahul Kumar Tewary's 'Suryaputra Karn' on Sony. A source informs us, "Gautam had been one of the first faces to be approached for the show. However he was already shooting for Mahakumbh at that time and hence had no dates available for the show." Gautam's last show on television, Mahakumbh, ended only two months ago and Gautam happens to be only actor on television who has done three male dominated shows back to back with hardly a two month gap between each.
Gautam confirmed the news and said, "I always believe in playing different characters and this time around as well Karn is completely different from the characters I have portrayed on screen earlier. Plus, its a finite series which is a concept I really like as Mahakumbh too had been a finite show. I am looking forward to being seen in a different avatar." Gautam will begin shooting for the show from next week.
