Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke actor Shaheer Sheikh wants to be a director; says 'I have been writing a story'
Shaheer Sheikh, currently seen as Abir in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke reveals that a new show wasn't his agenda after Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali. The actor reveals that he wishes to work behind the camera.
Shaheer Sheikh is currently seen as Abir in the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai spin-off Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. While both, the show as well as his character of Abir have been receiving a lot of love from the fans, the actor had something else on his mind for this year. While talking to a leading daily, he revealed that a new show wasn't on his agenda for this year after his last show, Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali went off-air.
The actor revealed to Hindustan Times that since Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali concluded, he has been working on the concept and the script of a story. He also added how he was hoping that it could materialise into a digital series. However, once he got the new show, he added that he knew he won't be able to work on his show since he will be busy with the shooting of the other one. The actor also added how he hopes to direct the show he is working on.
Talking about the genres of entertainment that we see in terms of Indian content, he also revealed how there are certain genres which remain untouched and that he wishes to explore them. He further added how it is such TV shows that he loves to watch and they refresh his mind every day after work. Shaheer said how these shows make him feel good about life and de-stress, and so he adds, how he would like to make a feel-good show. Referring to how FRIENDS is one show that almost everyone has watched and loved, he said he wants to make something like that, and much more than just that.
