Vivek Dahiya REVEALS he was asked to 'please people in a certain way' during his initial acting days

While there are numerous couples in the television industry, only some are among a favourite of the audiences. And Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are on the top of that list. After winning hearts of audiences as ACP Abhishek in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Rajbir in Kavach, Vivek Dahiya has been applauded time and again. In a recent interview, the telly star opened up about the struggles he faced in his initial days and the ugly face of casting couch.  

The actor acknowledged the fact that casting couch is omnipresent and he chose to ignore it instead of succumbing to it. Vivek revealed that more than one co-ordinator told him that he would find it very difficult to survive in the industry as he did not come from a filmy family.  

Vivek said, "So, he initially suggested I should rather pay money to people to get myself a full-fledged role in a show. When I refused to oblige to the monetary way out, he suggested me of the next alternative that was the casting couch where I would have to please people in a certain way."

Vivek added that he he was clear in his thoughts and rejected the offers. I was told "tumhare joote ghiss jayenge lekin tumhe kaam nahi milega. Kuch nahi hoga." I told him mere paas bohot saare joote hai and ek nahi toh dusra pehen loonga but I will go by the fair and right means. Well. kudos to Vivek for taking a firm stand.
