Uttarakhand Glacier Burst: Hina Khan, Ravi Dubey, Archana Puran Singh and others pray for the victims
Television celebrities expressed their grief and prayed for the victims of the Uttarakhand tragedy. On Sunday, a glacier burst in the Chamoli district of the state.
A glacier burst on Sunday in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district which triggered a flash flood and endangered the life of people living near the river bank. The Indo-Tibetan Border Force and State Disaster Response Force teams reached the spot and rescue operations took place. It is reported that till now around 18 people have lost their lives and more than 200 are still missing. Right from Bollywood celebrities to television stars, many have reacted to the tragedy. They took to their social media handle and requested people to pray for the safety of the victims.
Hina Khan took to her Instagram handle and shared an emoji of folded hands. Mohit Raina wrote on Twitter, “Have Witnessed the disasters in Uttarakhand since 1991 . Floods,Landslides,earthquake it has faced everything. My heart bleeds for my fav state ,saddened to see the images. It’s time to rethink where are we going wrong . Prayers for the safety of everyone.” Archana Puran Singh shared series of videos on her Instagram and prayed for the safety of the people in Uttarakhand.
Ravi Dubey and Shaheer Sheikh also shared information about the tragedy on their Instagram handles. Both actors also wrote #prayersforuttarakhand.

The rescue team has removed the debris near Tapovan dam in Chamoli district. PM has approved an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the next kin of the deceased family. And Rs 50,000 will be given to those who have been injured in the tragedy. Many villages have been destroyed in the disaster. The Srinagar-Rishikesh dam was emptied due to the flow of water.
