Sushant Singh Rajput case transferred to CBI: Rashami Desai hails the Supreme Court's verdict; See Post

The Supreme Court on Wednesday (August 19, 2020) upheld the transfer of an FIR, registered at Patna (Bihar) against Rhea Chakraborty and others in Sushant Singh Rajput's case, to the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation). In its verdict, the Apex Court also mentioned that the CBI will investigate any other FIR lodged in connection with the late actor's demise. The Court pronounced that CBI had the sole authority to probe Sushant's death case, and other state police could interfere with it.
SC's verdict was welcomed by Sushant's family, fans, and friends who had been seeking justice and requesting CBI to take over his case for the past few weeks. The judgement has come with a huge sigh of relief for them. Welcoming SC's decision, Rashami Desai took to her Twitter handle to post a quote which read, 'Sooner or later everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences.' She also used the hashtags 'Prayers' and Prevail' as she waited for justice in Sushant's unfortunate death case. The actress shared a close and warm bond with Sushant and thus hailed the Supreme Court's big decision.
Sushant left for his heavenly abode on June 14, 2020. After his sudden demise, Rashami had expressed her pain as she penned an emotional note in his remembrance. Sharing some heartwarming pictures with Sushant, Rashami had written, 'Sush! Not fair. Sucha talented, hardworking, brilliant person and a dear friend. It is a personal loss.'
