The news of Kanchi Singh to quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai took the internet by storm. Post that the news of the actress to be roped in for Colors' reality show Bigg Boss 11 made her fans excited to see the other side of their favourite actor.
We got in touch with the actress who sounded annoyed already, apparently owing to the constant Bigg Boss reports. While rubbishing the reports, Kanchi said, "No. Nothing of that sort is true. I don't know from where are these reports coming from. I haven't been approached." So will she consider the offer if ever approached by BB makers?! "Umm... Let's see. We will see if they offer, I'll think of it then."
Kanchi Singh who has quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehata Hai, is currently serving her three months notice period. Kanchi joined Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai just about last year, and within a year has quit the show as she is not happy with her role. She felt her part in the show was getting sidelined and after a lot of thinking she decided to quit the show. Kanchi confirmed the news to a leading daily and said, "Yes, I have quit the show. I didn't see any future for my character. I totally understand that shifting focus from a popular couple — Kartik and Naira — to any other character could be detrimental to the show, but my character was completely sidelined in the bargain. I wish the 'Yeh Rishta...' team all the best. I'll always be indebted to producer Rajan Shahi, who launched me in the industry. I would like to play meaningful characters now and have decided to take up only lead roles."
