In Star Plus' 'Mahabharat', Arjun is livid with Jaydrath's betrayal while the other Pandavas apologize to him for not being able to save Abhimanyu. Arjuna attacks Kauravas' camp and when told by Shakuni that he cannot attack after sunset, he responds by saying that he is not attacking but punishing. He manages to reach Jaydrath and attacks him. Dronacharya tries to stop Arjuna and tells him that it is adharma to attack after sunset but Arjun retorts by stating that he is not Arjuna at the moment but an anguished father who is taking revenge for his son's death. However Dronacharya and Yudhister are able to convince Arjuna to attack the next morning only as otherwise Abhimanyu's death will go to waste and he will not be able to attain heaven. Arjuna vows to kill Jaydrath the next day or else kill his own self.

Duryodhana promises Jaydrath that he will protect him but Karna is apprehensive as he can sense the extent of Arjuna's fury. However Shakuni comes up with an idea to save Jaydrath. The next morning Arjuna rages a battle with the sole agenda of killing Jaydrath. He is faced with Dronacharya and Karna but he manages to fight them off and proceed further. He is then met by a gleeful Duryodhana who informs him that he has a funeral pyre ready for him as the sun is about to set and he has failed in his vow to kill Jaydrath.

In the upcoming episode, Duryodhana informs Arjuna that the sun has set and he has failed to keep his vow but Krishna makes the sun appear again with the help of his sudarshana chakra. Will Arjuna be able to keep his vow?
