Kalki Koechlin has recently told the media that she was sexually abused as a child. The actress revealed it at a press conference, organised by Rahul Bose's NGO, The Foundation, towards the cause of preventing Child Sexual Abuse.

Sofia Hayat took to a social media platform to reveal her dark and disturbing past. The actress, TV show host and a former Bigg Boss participant tweeted last year that she had been sexually abused by her uncle when she was only 10 years old!

Oprah Winfrey

The American talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, revealed during one of the episodes of her show that a relative had raped her when she was just nine years old. The sexual abuse continued for four years and she became pregnant at the age of 14. Her son had expired in infancy though.

The Grammy award winner and renowned sitar player, late Ravi Shankar's daughter, Anoushka, who is also a sitar player, was a victim of sexual abuse in her childhood. She has shared with the media that a close family friend, who her family trusted immensely, had abused her sexually when she was a child. Hence, Anoushka is committed to the noble cause of women safety.

Late superstar, Rajesh Khanna's alleged live-in partner, Anita Advani disclosed that she was all of 13 when the actor sexually abused her. She further added that she was not mentally and physically ready for that kind of relationship at that tender age. Anita also claimed that she had been in a relationship with Khanna for 33 years.

Ashley Judd

Ashley Judd had been brutally raped many times during her childhood and youth. The actress has revealed in her memoir, All That Is Bitter and Sweet, that a stranger had molested her in an empty building when she was a child. Though she managed to run away from the scene, her family never believed her when she shared the dreadful incident with them. Later, during her modelling days, a male model allegedly forced her to perform oral sex for him and raped her.
