Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is probably the most cherished romantic film in the history of Hindi cinema. We are not only in love with the fascinating protagonists, but also with a number of scenes that have made the film a brand today!

It's always a surreal experience to travel back in time and recall our first impressions and expressions when we witnessed these iconic scenes! Here, we are doing just that! Living our very first DDLJ moments once again! Share your thoughts too.

THE CLIMAX TRAIN SCENE

This nail-biting sequence had us completely bowled over! Just before the train chase, Kajol had got us curious enough and all we were worried about was whether her father would let her go with Raj or not. The moment Amrish Puri did just that, we were literally on the edge of our seats! Our next obvious worry was how Raj and Simran would beat the speeding train. The chase literally gave us goosebumps!

THE BADE BADE DESHON MEIN SCENE

Before this dialogue, Raj and Simran had only been either behaving awkwardly with each other or fighting for petty reasons. All we wondered was when the two would talk normally. This dialogue worked like magic and we were elated to witness a crackling chemistry between the two.

THE YELLOW FIELDS SCENE

Raj and Simran parted ways at the airport after their trip but none had confessed their feelings to the other. That left us eager to see how the two will meet as lovers for the first time. And the yellow fields sequence had us enraptured! Their first romantic hug simply warmed the cockles of our hearts. We were super thrilled to see the next turn of events in their love story.

THE HOTEL SCENE

Simran woke up in Raj's kurta and there were lipstick marks all over Raj's chest. We had impressions that the film was going to get serious for wrong reasons. But right then, Raj emerged as the good, trustworthy guy you would want to take to your mother. The scene left a sweet smile on our faces.

THE PALAT KE DEKHEGI SCENE

Once Raj said that line, not only he but we were also curious to see whether Simran would turn around or not! We so wanted her to look back that when she actually did, we were jumping on our seats!

THE KARWACHAUTH SCENE

Probably SRK's Raj has made the practice of husbands fasting for their wives all the rage. We totally found it oh-so cute and romantic when it was revealed that Raj was also fasting for Simran. And many of us decided to break our fast the Raj-Simran way – by feeding each other lovingly.

THE PIGEON-FEEDING SCENE

Raj's adorable attempts to get friendly with Simran's father included his early morning trips to the fields, where Amrish Puri would be feeding chane to the pigeons. Those scenes were so endearing and all we wanted to see was a friendship between the two. After his many trials, when Raj finally got a positive response from Babuji in one such sequence, we found ourselves take a sigh of relief!

THE MOMENT WHEN SRK DROPS KAJOL ON THE FLOOR

It happened during the peppy number, Ruk Ja O Dil Diwane, when Raj held Simran, and exactly when we thought the two would break into a passionate dance, our naughty Raj dropped the lady! We still remember how we screamed at the fall! As if Raj had dropped us!

AMRISH PURI'S ENTRY IN MEHNDI LAGA KE RAKHNA

The soulful song had all things grand – the beats, the sets, the joyful moods, and the celebration spirits! Towards the end, when Amrish Puri appeared in the scene all of a sudden and the music stopped, we thought things were all set to get dramatic now. But unexpectedly, Babuji started singing to his wife, which injected cheerfulness and exuberance into the grim atmosphere! That immediately became one of our favourite moments in the film.

SRK'S LAST DIALOGUE WITH AMRISH PURI

Just before the train scene, we wondered how exactly Raj and Simran would meet. And when Raj decided going against Simran's idea of running away, we thought this love story might just not see a happy ending. Raj's last dialogue with Babuji only strengthened our fears. That scene was totally nerve-racking for us, as we didn't want to believe that Raj was leaving India... without his dulhania.
