They took the cine-buffs by storm with their debut films. But soon after, their stardom faded and they become nothing more than one-film wonders! Here's checking out 12 such unfortunate actors!

Anu Agarwal

She became a sensation overnight soon after the release of her debut flick, the romantic musical blockbuster, Aashiqui 2, in 1990. Though she tried to cash in on her super success and did a couple of films after that, but she failed miserably to strike the cord once again. Unfortunately, the very next year, Anu suffered a fatal crash and remained in a coma for 29 days.

Last update about her was that she has returned to Mumbai and is planning to pen a book on her life. Anu practices holistic yoga and fine arts along with the Indian artist, Atul Dodiya.

Rahul Roy

Much like his Aashiqui co-star Anu Agarwal, Rahul Roy too tasted success only for a while. Soon after the film, he signed few projects that didn't add any value to his filmi resume. Last, we saw the actor as a Bigg Boss participant and winner of the reality show's first season.

Rahul Roy has a film production company, Rahul Roy Productions, under which, he released his first movie, Elaan, in 2011 in Bihar. The film had him and Rituparna Sen as the main leads. Rahul is all set make his comeback in Bollywood with a psychological thriller, To Be Or Not To Be, where he is playing a negative role. The film will release in June this year.

Giselle Monteiro

Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal introduced the Brazilian model, Giselle Monteiro, to Bollywood. She played a Punjabi belle in the rom-com and made headlines for her gorgeous looks. Post the film's success, Giselle did Always Kabhie Kabhie, but couldn't impress the audience.

Giselle has graced few famous magazine covers including Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Marie Clarie and Femina. She is the brand ambassador of Wills Lifestyle, Movil Mobiles and PC Jewellers, and has walked the ramp for Rohit Bal, Ritu Kumar and Ranna Gill.

Sneha Ullal

Aishwarya Rai-lookalike, Sneha Ullal debuted in Bollywood with Lucky: No Time For Love in 2005, opposite Salman Khan. The film opened really well, but the business fell down in the next few weeks. There's been not many relevant updates about the actress ever since.

After her Bollywood debacle, Sneha didn't lose heart and is building her career down South currently.

Chandni

Salman Khan romanced Chandni in Sanam Bewafa. The film raked in moolah and was appreciated for its intense love story, but Chandni vanished from the film-circles post that.

There are no latest updates about her.

Kumar Gaurav

Though he did a number of films after his blockbuster debut, Love Story in 1981, Kumar Gaurav fell short of casting the same spell on his viewers.

He runs a travel business in Maldives currently.

Bhagyashree

Bhagyashree dazzled the movie-buffs with her pretty, innocent looks in the 1989 romantic flick, Maine Pyar Kiya. The film was a runway success, and quite obviously, many filmmakers wanted to repeat the hit couple. But Bhagyashree refused them all, and decided to romance only her husband, Himalaya, onscreen. The two couldn't click with the audience and Bhagyashree's career soon faded.

Bhagyashree has been a regular at Bollywood and fashion parties since 2011. She launched her clothing line in April 2012.

Gayatri Joshi

Aashutosh Gowarikar's critically acclaimed 2004 film, Swades had a new girl opposite Shah Rukh Khan – Gayatri Joshi. Even after impressing the critics with her fine acting chops, the girl bid goodbye to filmdom.

Gayatri is married to hotel honcho, Vikas Oberoi, and has two kids. She is often seen at Page 3 parties.

Mahima Chaudhry

The 1997 blockbuster, Pardes, had a beautiful new thing as its leading lady – Mahima Chaudhry. Subhash Ghai launched her in his film opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film was a huge success. But unfortunately, Mahima had a tiff with the filmmaker and career went only downhill post that, as apparently, Ghai impelled his peers against casting her.

Mahima is set to return to the silver screen in a biopic on actress-gangster, Archana Sharma. Directed by Shashi Ranjan, the film will have her in the lead.

Gracy Singh

Gracy made a beautiful village belle in the 2001 blockbuster, Lagaan. Though she also appeared in Munna Bhai MBBS in 2003, opposite Sanjay Dutt, but couldn't create the same impact. Soon, she left Bollywood.

Gracy is doing few films at the moment. She is in Jaipur currently, shooting for her next, Love You Teacher. She will also be seen in Suman Ganguli's Blue Mountain, in which she has also sung a few songs. Gracy wishes to return to television.

Bhumika Chawla

The 2003 romantic drama, Tere Naam was a hit. Its leading lady, the newcomer Bhumika Chawla, charmed the pants off us as a sweet, innocent girl, opposite Salman Khan. But the actress couldn't taste success ever again.

After her not-so-inspiring stint in Bollywood, Bhumika went back to doing South Indian films. She is married to the yoga guru, Bharat Thakur, currently.

Vivek Mushran

The 1991 superhit romance, Saudagar, had Vivek as the main lead, opposite Manisha Koirala. But Vivek failed to match his own standards in his next few cinematic efforts.

The actor has been seen in various TV shows, including Son Pari, Kittie Party, Bhaskar Bharti, Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, and Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi.
