1. Shah Rukh Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammad, wanted to be an actor. He even tried his luck in Mughal-e-Azam but couldn't succeed.
2. Kareena Kapoor was offered the role of Aishwarya Rai's younger sister in Gurinder Chadha's Bride And Prejudice. Kareena refused it, as she didn't want to play second fiddle to Ash. Piya Rai Chowdhary eventually did that role.
3. Before trying her luck in movies, Aishwarya Rai once auditioned for voice dubbing for a TV serial but was rejected.
4. Dilip Kumar was offered to play the lead role in the international film, Lawrence of Arabia (1962), directed by David Lean. But the actor turned down the offer for reasons best known to him. Egyptian actor Omar Sharif eventually did that role.
5. Aamir Khan was offered the role of Prakash (played by Sharad Kapoor eventually) in Josh. But he refused to do it, as he thought SRK's character was more powerful.
