JBL Wave 100 TWS Review; best TWS under Rs 5,000, worth every penny

JBL, the company which is known for making premium-grade audio products, has recently expanded its TWS portfolio with the launch of its Wave 100 TWS earbuds. The highlighted feature of the audio device is its design because unlike the standard TWS this one doesn’t come with an opening lid, but it does have some strong magnets inside the case which is capable enough of holding the earbuds in place. To get some inside details and experience of the product to our readers, the company has shared one unit with us. In this article, we have explained everything about the JBL Wave 100 and tried answering all your questions.

JBL Wave 100: Design, build, and battery

Design is one of the most important aspects of a TWS because the device is going to be a part of your body and stick there during your usage. Design-wise we must say that JBL has invested good research and development on the design of the Wave 100, it looks premium and attractive and the missing lid on the charging case can simply blow your mind. The TWS is available in black grey, purple, and blue colour options.

The build quality of the JBL Wave 100 feels premium and just while holding the case you can say that you are having a good quality product in your hand. It can even survive a few hard drops. As far as batteries are concerned, let us tell you that the newly launched Wave 100 is said to offer a battery life of 20 hours with a 550mAh case. The individual earbuds come equipped with a 46mAH battery which is capable of offering 5 hours of music playback. The charging case comes with a USB Type-C port which can charge the device from 0-100 percent in 2 hours.

Specifications and performance

The JBL Wave 100 comes equipped with 8mm dynamic drivers which are said to arrive with Deep Bass sound. Besides, the TWS also has Dual Connect technology which allows you to either connect one or both earbuds to the smartphone. Moreover, it’s compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants.

We have used the JBL Wave 100 for quite some weeks and we must say that the TWS delivers excellent audio quality. The sound output of the earbuds is crisp and clear, during our entire usage we never noticed any distortion in the sound quality. Considering the price we can say that the company is offering a good deal at Rs 3,499.

Is it worth buying the JBL Wave 100?

We have spend over two weeks with the JBL Wave 100 and we can recommend the TWS to be on the priority list if you’re looking to purchase a pair of earbuds within a range of Rs 4,000. The company has managed to check all the boxes which we usually look for while buying a new TWS.
