Easyfone Shield Rugged Design 

At first glance, the Easyfone Shield really surprised us with the stunning rugged look. The rear panel of the phone looks like a tough guy who is not ready to break so easily. The phone comes with a black and orange colour combination and it has a rubber and plastic build which makes it look sturdy and reliable. The company has made sure the device has a rubber coating on the edges which absorb the shock in case it falls from a certain height. 

Everything on the rubber was coated and sealed by a waterproof seal including the battery compartment. Yes you got it correct the battery is replaceable and underneath it accommodates the SIM card slots and microSD card slot. On the top, it has a 3.5mm audio jack and a powerful torch, while on the right chassis it features a dedicated SOS button which is one of the key features of the device. Overall the design and feel of the phone was impressive and we liked it.

Once activated, the easyfone shield allows incoming calls and messages only from the white-listed numbers (max 20). 

The feature phone comes with a dedicated SOS button which allows the user to get help quickly in an emergency – so one can be out trekking, hiking, biking etc without any worry. 

Easyfone Shield Performance and verdict

While talking about the performance of the phone we must say that the Easyfone Shield works fine as a standard feature phone. However, the dedicated SOS feature and white list feature has really impressed us. One-click on the SOS button sends alerts to all the contacts which are registered on your SOS list, it can be used in extreme conditions especially for the ones who live alone. This feature is very useful for senior people in case they encounter any trespassing in their house or private property. Not only senior citizens this feature will also benefit the ones who love adventure and go on trekking, hiking, biking, and more. 

The whitelist feature is also very interesting because it will allow you to restrict all the unnecessary phone calls and text messages to reach you. Only the whitelisted contacts will be able to call you and that’s the best thing when you are out with your family and don’t want to get disturbed. The only drawback of the phone is that it doesn’t have WhatsApp or a browser which makes it only a feature phone. This could be done to keep the phone minimalist and simple for elderly people.
