Ahead of the official launch, the company has shared the GTR 3 with us at Pinkvilla Tech to test the device and share our experience with the readers. So here we are with a comprehensive review of the newly launched GTR 3.
Amazfit GTR 3 Design

The GTR 3 is a lightweight yet durable smartwatch that comes with an aluminum alloy complete with an elegant rotatable crown. The first look of the fitness tracker impressed us because it looked elegant and premium. The GTR 3 features a circular dial design with a bezel-less curved glass screen to give a heightened sense of immersion.
The stylish design with comfortable silicone straps seems to be meant for delivering classic styling to match different outfits. Believe me, I have carried the watch with all types of outfits - from suit to workout gear. You can also customize your GTR 3’s watch faces to showcase all the information you need at a glance. Design-wise the watch has impressed us to the core and we must say that the company is improving every time.
Amazfit GTR 3 Specifications

The Amazfit GTR 3 sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED HD display with a pixel density of 331ppi. The smartwatch comes with 150+ sports modes, more than 150 vibrant watch faces with matching always-on-display as well as smooth animations and dynamic effects, and more. The Amazfit 3rd generation smartwatches allow you to check your heart rate, blood oxygen, breathing rate and stress level with the built-in 6PD BioTracket PPG 3.0.

The fitness tracker is capable of monitoring your heart rate all day and will alert you when the heart rate is abnormally high or low. The smartwatch calculates the current health and well being quickly and converts it into a PAI score. Amazfit GTR 3 also has built-in Voice-control with Alexa which can be used to set an alarm or ask questions when online, and when offline, you can use it to open sports mode or health features.
GTR 3 Battery

The GTR 3 brings Amazfit’s immersive Zepp OS to life, the health tracker is powered by a 450 mAh battery for an extensive battery life of up to 21 days as per the company. That means up to three weeks on a single charge, and even longer if you fire up the GTR 3’s Battery Saver Mode. We haven’t used it for so long but we can say that the device arrived at us two weeks back and until now it's on 44 percent battery which means it might survive one more week.
Amazfit GTR 3 performance

With GTR 3 the company has made some significant changes with the UI of the device. The animation on the fitness tracker is much more enhanced than the predecessor, the touch response is also improved from the earlier models. The company has added a rotatable crown that will make your life easier.
The watch is impressive in terms of performance and features, the notification bar is not filled with options and you can command your Alexa devices directly from your watch. The company has added a plethora of modes like outdoor running, walking, treadmill, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, pool swimming, climbing, hiking, Elliptical, and a lot more among the others. You can monitor your adventure activities with the help of these features.

The smartwatch is capable of monitoring your sleep and makes it easier to understand your sleep patterns and improve sleep quality. Once synchronized to the app you can learn more about how long you spend in light and deep sleep stages, including the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep stage, and even daytime naps. During our usage, we haven’t faced any issues with the GTR 3. Testing all the modes in such a small time frame was impossible but we did test the device while swimming, walking, and playing outdoor games. Performance-wise the device impressed us a lot and we can say that the company has done a great job.
