Xbox celebrates 20th Anniversary with launch of Special Edition accessories

Xbox announced some special edition accessories to mark its 20th anniversary which will be completed on the coming of November 15.

Xbox said “ Today, we celebrate our history together with the 20th Anniversary Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller and 20th Anniversary Special Edition Xbox Stereo Headset – launching November 15 and available for pre-order now. We were inspired by our favourite memories together from the last 20 years and created not one, but two unique accessories to commemorate this milestone.”

Let us look into the details of the announced accessories

20th Anniversary Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller

The 20th Anniversary Special Edition controller is a new take on the original Xbox Debug kit's translucent green. The controller's body is translucent black with silver internals, allowing you to see every detail. The nostalgic green Xbox button harkens back to the original green Xbox logo. The iconic colour also appears on the back grips and around the hybrid D-pad.

Xbox says that the Special Edition controller includes all of the features found in the most recent Xbox Wireless Controllers, including improved ergonomics, improved cross-device connectivity, a dedicated Share button, and lower latency. You can also use Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth technology to easily pair and switch between your devices, such as the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PCs, Android, and iOS.

Xbox has bundled a surprise dynamic background. When users will connect this controller to their Xbox Series X|S console, it will unlock an exclusive 20th Anniversary dynamic background.

Users can connect the controller to their friends Xbox Series X|S to gift them this dynamic background as well.  But once a user chooses another background, this one will disappear, and they will need to re-connect the 20th Anniversary controller to unlock it again.

20th Anniversary Special Edition Xbox Stereo Headset

Based on the newly released Xbox Stereo Headset. The headset also has a translucent black body with silver internals, allowing you to see what makes this headset work. Green accents on the boom mic, as well as on the inside and outside of the earcups. The left disc bears our 20th Anniversary logo in our signature green, while the right dial bears our Xbox logo, as seen on the Xbox Wireless and Stereo Headsets.

Xbox says it features the same ultra-soft large earcups and superb audio and chat quality. You can adjust the volume by rotating the right earcup or quickly mute incoming noise with the convenient on-ear control. The headset also supports spatial sound technologies including Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone: X (may require additional purchases or app downloads).

The 20th Anniversary Special Edition Xbox Stereo Headset will be available for pre-order on November 15 for $69.99 USD in select Xbox markets and at the Microsoft Store and other retailers. The headset is only available in APOC/EOC at the Microsoft Store.

Razer Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox – 20th Anniversary Limited Edition

Razer also released the 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox. It is similar to the standard Razer Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox, but it has transparent panels, green accents, and the 20th Anniversary logo. It includes a rechargeable battery that plugs into the back of the controller, as well as a special cover that allows charging via the stand.

20th Anniversary Xbox Gear

The premium, everyday gear is designed around all things Xbox and to celebrate 20 years of playing together. The Xbox 20th Anniversary Black & Green Sphere tee and hat will be available at Xbox Gear Shop starting today. The Xbox Gear Shop ships internationally to most countries from the United States, so make sure to get yours before they are gone!
