GTA Trilogy found to be hiding a half-baked VR mode

According to a data miner, the GTA Remastered Trilogy has an unfinished VR mode for San Andreas.

Ben Turpin, a Twitter user, claimed to have discovered evidence of an unfinished VR mode buried within the files of San Andreas in the GTA Trilogy in the tweet below. The user claims that the mode is unfinished, with aspects such as shooting and punching still in need of improvement, but it's a fascinating prospect if the modding community can get it working.

This is our first look at a possible first-person VR version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. CJ can be seen running down the street in first-person before hijacking a car (where the camera switches to third-person mode) and finally throwing hands at a random passer-by on the street in the short gameplay clip included in the tweet.

You may recall that Rockstar announced last month, prior to the release of the GTA Remastered Trilogy, that a VR version of San Andreas would be coming to Oculus Quest 2 at some point in the future. No other information was provided, but this could make the discovery even more significant.
