India and West Indies start post-World Cup journey on Saturday at Florida as the two sides clash in the first T20I of the series. The Virat Kohli’s men were eliminated in the semi-final of World Cup 2019 by New Zealand while Windies failed to make it to the top four. However, there were several positives for both the teams in the tournament, which they would want to take forward.
Meanwhile, T20 is a different format, hence the teams have brought in different squads for the assignment. The likes of short-version specialists like Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine makes hosts the favourite side on paper. However, India too isn’t short of handy T20 players. They are a balanced side with both experienced and young players making their way.
Shikhar Dhawan, who was ruled out of World Cup midway due to an injury, is back in the squad for India while new faces Navdeep Saini, Rahul Chahar, Deepak Chahar have also been given an opportunity.
