Sania Mirza, the woman who literally brought prominence to the Tennis in India and made it popular amongst the masses, is an inspiration to every girl in the country. Sania, followed her passion which not only brought her immense success and recognition but also brought India on the International map in terms of sports (which is beyond cricket). This 31-year-old is expecting her first child with husband and Pakistan Cricket team player and former captain, Shoaib Malik. Mirza is heavily pregnant and is due in October end. However, she is absolutely on the go and is not slowing down even a bit. In a tete a tete with Grazia, the beauty spoke in detail about what motherhood is to her, how she is prepping up for it and her fitness regime.

The soon to be a yummy mommy who is also a self-confessed foodie shared that the biggest perk of being pregnant is that she can have a few cheat days and eat her heart out without feeling guilty (well, that indeed is some major perk). Like every expecting mother, advices are bound to flow in, Sania shared the best advice that she has been given. She said, “You know your body and your unborn baby better than anyone does.” This one is surely a moving advice and something that ever mom-to-be would agree with.

The Grand Slam winner also gave out an extremely fruitful advice to every expecting mother, she said that ever mum to be is the best judge of what she needs. Staying true to her sportsman roots, she further added that the entire pregnancy process can get quite challenging but one needs to stay active, positive and keep motivating themselves to get through. Like every mother, Sania cannot wait to hold her baby in her hands and spend all her time with her little munchkin. She is super excited to experience motherhood as in her own words, “it has been a long wait”.

When the most obvious question came to her about when would we expect her to hit the courts, she like a doting mother answered saying, “For now, my priority is to have a healthy child — that’s it. I'm not really thinking about hitting the court right now. But realistically, I plan on playing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. There's absolutely no pressure, but trying to get fit will also be another priority.”

The tennis superstar who takes fitness very seriously said that she regularly practises yoga. What’s interesting is that she still walks 3-4 kms a day, in her earlier months of pregnancy, she had hit the gym and even played tennis.

Sania Mirza has always been an inspiration to many and she is the living example of how one can juggle their personal and professional life and slay both of them with extreme elan.
